Hi, and welcome back to The Epic Experiment podcast! For those who are new to our cast, we are a Magic the Gathering podcast dedicated to playing Commander with a twist. Our twist is that we are only allowed to use cards that were printed in Return to Ravnica block and forward. We do this because often times restrictions breed creativity and innovation...and can help improve accessibility to cards and hopefully keep our costs down!
Each week we would look back retrospectively at sets beginning with Return to Ravnica with an eye to examining the potential commanders in each set, obvious staples from each set and some hidden gems in each set to bring new life to your decks. Each week we will also give you guys a deck tech with an eye to inspiring you to come and give it a try. Our Deck Techs will look to remain under $100, a threshold that hopefully keeps the decks affordable for our listeners. We will also cover hot topics in the world of Commander, look at other singleton formats as needed, and any news that needs to be covered.
On this week's show the guys look at where, when, and what to buy when shopping for new cards for that perfect deck. They also take a take at Dragon's Maze and sweet Varolz, the Scar Striped deck! Come on in and Check us out!
